How Much Water is Appropriate and Why?

Summer is here and that means temperatures are rising! Even though we should be drinking water no matter how hot it is outside, it is really important to stay hydrated during this time of the year.​

​The recommended amount of water to drink per day is actually based on your weight. Take your weight, divide by 2, and that’s how many ounces of water you should drink in a day. For example, if you are 150 pounds, try to reach for 75 ounces of water. If you are sweating or your immune system is compromised, increase water needs as necessary.​
