Role

Sports massage and lymphedema

I have been a licensed massage practitioner since 1995. Being an avid bicyclist, jogger, skier and lifelong hockey fan, I bring knowledge and experience regarding athletics to my practice. I use my skills to provide patients with relief from pain, swelling, and muscle tension as well as education to help them prevent further injuries.

I have taught sports massage for 20 years and have used that experience to volunteer my time at sporting events. Most notably, my volunteerism has been completed in the Athletes Village at the Salt Lake City Olympics, with the US Olympic Diving team during competitions, and at local running and bicycling events with the Washington Sports Massage Team.

Working with people who need my touch in the arena of sports or exertion injuries are only a part of my practice. I maintain certification in Lympedema Management from the Vodder School International. With this expertise, I work with cancer patients, post-surgical patients, and patients with primary and secondary lymphedema.
