Functional Movement: Rotation

Today is the last day of our series talking about different exercises that improve functional performance throughout the day. There are seven different types of movement that incomposes functional tasks and today we are going to talk about rotational movements.

You use rotational movements when trying to get something out of the backseat of your car, opening up a door, and twisting while lifting. You can start with movements that emphasizes core stability while moving your arms (anti-rotational movements) and work up to rotational movements. Like always, your body is encouraged to move in all directions under load that simulates real life.
